Billis to SeniorVicePresident and President - Manufacturing Operations Division,reporting to Douglas D. Billis joined Lear in 1998 after more than 35 years at GeneralMotors Corporation, where he most recently served as generaldirectorof engineering for GM's Delphi Automotive Systems' Interior andLighting Systems division, a position he had held since November1991. Prior to that he served as director of the seat systemsbusiness unit and director of materials management and qualityassurance. Billis graduated from General Motors Institute (GMI, nowKetteringUniversity) with a bachelor of science degree in mechanicalengineering and earned a masters in business administration fromStanford University under the Sloan Fellowship Program. He and his wife Jane, who have four children, reside in LakeOrion, MI.
