AUDI AG is the new partner of Claudia Pechstein

Ingolstadt (ots/PROTEXT) 31. 10. 2002 - The Ingolstadt carmanufacturer and Germany's most successful Winter Olympicsparticipant of all time are teaming up for the future. The WorldRecord holder in speed-skating over 3000 and 5000 metres hasentered into a cooperation with AUDI AG until the Olympic Gamesin 2006. Claudia Pechstein's competition sportssuit will featurethe well-known logo with the Four Rings for the first time atthe German Single Distance Championships in Erfurt over thecoming weekend. Only yesterday sports journalists voted ClaudiaPechstein Ice Speed Skater of the Year 2002.

"The dynamism of Audi cars and of Ice Speed Skating really gowell together. And naturally I am particularly proud that such aprestigious company has decided to work together with me," saidthe delighted 30 year old Pechstein.

"Claudia Pechstein is one of Germany's leading wintersportswomen. She proved this once again with her two victories inSalt Lake City. In addition to this she has in the meantimeattained real celebrity status, but has remained refreshinglydown to earth," reasoned Stephan Grühsem, Head of Communicationsat AUDI AG, concerning the cooperation. "Our Four Rings andClaudia's four Olympic Gold Medals are an excellent match," saidGrühsem.

The Audi Logo will continue to feature on Pechstein'scompetition sportsuit. And Audi will be involving the four-timeOlympic Champion in future PR activities.
