Expansion into Eastern Europe

4.01.2005, 15:51

ODRY, Jan 4 (PROTEXT) - Already in 2002 the firms of Delkeskamp Verpackungswerke GmbH and Ruch Novaplast GmbH & Co. KG decided to show their presence on the growing markets in Eastern Europe and founded their Joint Venture company, MORAplast s.r.o. in Odry (Czech Republic), which since then has been successfully producing moulded parts from EPS (expanded polystyrene).

The core competences of the two companies, however, are not limited to EPS alone but mainly lie in the production and processing of corrugated board in the case of Delkeskamp and the production of mouldings made of EPP (expanded polypropylene) at Ruch Novaplast. It was therefore only a logical step, bearing in mind the established structures in Odry and the firm's growing knowledge of the markets, to extend the product range to take in the core competences of the two companies. Starting in 2005 MORAplast s.r.o. will extend its range to take in the EPP products. The firm of MORApack s.r.o. was established this year for corrugated board and from new year onwards it will be producing on modern converting and printing machinery. A good strategic position close to Poland and Slovakia, an established organisation, synerg-istic benefits from close collaboration with the parent companies in Germany, and the combination of different materials for packaging and the production of technical parts are, in the opinion of the owners of both companies, the cornerstones for further stable growth on the Czech market.
