FRANKFURT 4. 11. 2002 (APROTEXT/otx) - Frankfurt Airport(FRA) will be soon "decking the halls" of its passengerterminals for the upcoming Christmas season and launching itsbiggest Christmas promotion ever. Starting November 11, FRA'sglistening shoppers' paradise will offer travelers and visitorsa chance to enter the "Santa, Please Bring Me a Porsche"competition. Up to four Porsche Carrera sports cars will be givenaway by Christmas. There will be two of these sleek, high-performance German automobiles - valued at EUR 80,000 each -wrapped in orange ribbons and on display in the terminals.Participating in the contest is easy. Just pick up and drop offan entry card at any of the 188 shops and restaurants spreadthroughout Terminals 1 and 2. Shops and restaurants will also beoffering various Christmas specials and small presents tocustomers.

Travelers and visitors alike will be putting FrankfurtAirport on their wish list this Christmas season. After all,there is plenty to see and do: such as Frankfurt AirportShopping, the traditional International Christmas Market, theAirport Reise-Markt and the Visitors' Terrace. Another FRAhighlight, especially for families, is the Xmas Combi-Ticket foradmission to the Visitors' Terrace at Terminal 1 and for anairport tour.During the Christmas season these tickets cost onlyEUR 6 per adult and EUR 4 per child.

A perennial favorite, FRA's International Christmas Marketwill again be held from November 29 through December 26 on themezzanine in Departures Hall B of Terminal 1. The InternationalChristmas Market will be open daily from 10:00 to 18:00, onChristmas Eve (December 24) until 16:00. This is probably theonly Christmas Market in Germany that can be enjoyed on December25 and 26, a welcome treat for passengers traveling over theholidays. At FRA's Christmas Market, you will find standsselling traditional Christmas ornaments and handicrafts fromGermany as well as gift items from around the world. Don't forgetto try the heart-warming Gluehwein (mulled red wine withspices) and other tasty specialities.

During the holiday season you can also check out the widerange of travel deals being offered at the Airport Reise-Markt,everything from last-minute flights to tour packages forChristmas and next year. Located on the mezzanine of DeparturesHall C in Terminal 1, the Airport Reise-Markt is open daily from10:00 to 18:00.
