FRA Winter Timetable 2003/2004: Upward Trend in Passenger Traffic with More Airlines and Destinations

111 Scheduled Passenger Airlines Will Offer 3,892 ConnectionsPer Week to 286 Destinations in 110 Countries

Frankfurt, Germany (ots/-PROTEXT) 15.10.2003 - FSE: FRA -Frankfurt Airport's Winter Timetable 2003/2004, which goes intoeffect on October 26, will feature 111 scheduled passengerairlines - five more than during the previous winter schedule -flying from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to 286 destinations (up from274) in 110 countries (up from 104).

Compared to the 2002/2003 Winter Timetable, the followingnew airlines will be serving Germany's largest airport: StyrianSpirit flying to Graz, Austria; Cirrus Airlines to Skopje,Macedonia; and Ariana to Kabul, Afghanistan. With 3,892, thenumber of weekly direct connections in scheduled passengerservice at FRA will be only slightly below the previous wintertimetable (3,941). The most heavily flown routes in FRA's WinterTimetable 2003/2004 will be Paris-Charles de Gaulle with 130flights per week, followed by London-Heathrow with 121 andBerlin-Tegel with 106. In Asia, Singapore will be the mostfrequented destination with 28 flights per week from FRA. In theUnited States, the top destinations will be Chicago with 30flights per week, followed by New York-JFK with 28.

There will also be more airlines providing all-cargo flightsto and from FRA for the Winter Timetable 2003/2004. EffectiveOctober 26, some 13 carriers will be offering scheduledfreighter services via Europe's leading air cargo hub. Thenumber of scheduled direct connections will be 115 per week,versus 131 for the preceding winter timetable.
