Frankfurt Chosen as the Worlds Best Cargo Airport of the Year 2005

Frankfurt 26. 4. 2005 (PROTEXT/OTS) - Frankfurt Airport (FRA)has once again been chosen as the worlds Cargo Airport of theYear 2005 by Air Cargo News, the renowned international tradepublication. This is the second year in a row that CargoCityFrankfurt (the name of FRAs airfreight areas) has received theprestigious Cargo Airport of the Year award. Serving the globalairfreight community, Air Cargo News is based in the U.K and hasa total of 100,000 readers on every continent.

As part of its application for the competition, Fraport AG(the owner and manager of Frankfurt Airport) presented keyevents of the past year in the form of a calendar. Theseincluded topping-out ceremonies and inaugurations for newforwarding centers and airfreight terminals, special shipments,as well as new air cargo links at FRA. The quality of Fraportspresentation and the wide range of new developments at FrankfurtAirport during the previous 12-months proved more thanconvincing for the selection jury of experienced editors.
