Frankfurt/Main 02.06.2004 (PROTEXT/ots) - FRA/rap-th> Passenger figures at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) continue to grow at above-average rates. Following first-quarter increases of 6.8 percent in passenger figures and 6.4 percent in airfreight tonnage, traffic at FRA continued to grow at an accelerated rate in April and May. In April 2004, passenger figures rose by nearly 12 percent over the same month last year, while in May 2004 FRA served 11 percent more passengers. In the last two months, the airfreight volume handled at continental Europe's biggest airport climbed by 13 and 16 percent respectively.
