Gemtek Systems Europe announces today its new Synergy product line for Wi-Fi public wireless Internet access

The first element of Synergy product line will be theenhanced Hot-Spot-In-a-Box P-565, a scalable 5-in-1 device thatsets new standards in price-performance for public WLANoperators due to its Remote Configuration Management and Autoprovisioning features.

The P-565 device representing exceptional value for money bycombining a Wi-Fi Access Point, an Access Controller, an IProuter, a VPN gateway for Virtual Private Networks and a managed4-port 10/100 Ethernet LAN switch into a single compact andtamper-proof unit.

The P-565 54Mbit/s Hotspot-in-a-Box supports the IEEE802.11b+g+a standard, up to 250 users, with 16 VLANs and will beavailable through the Gemtek Systems Europe reseller channel fromJuly 2005. The recommended retail price is 699 including the GMSclient for remote configuration management and auto provisioning.

The Synergy product line will also include the P-785, outdoorAccess Point and backbone infrastructure with its dual radio,dual band capability as well as an industry standard series ofAccess Contollers, Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches and asingle box solution combining Access Controller and PoE switch.The key components of the new Synergy product line will offer acommon platform to telecom operators and a uniform view of theirWi-Fi infrastructure.
