GERRESHEIMER GLAS AG SELLS FBG-TRIDENT

Düsseldorf, Germany 3. 11. 2003 (PROTEXT/ots) - The packagingspecialist Gerresheimer Glas AG, Düsseldorf, has sold itsEnglish subsidiary FBG-Trident Ltd. as at the end of October2003. The purchaser of the company is Murray Holdings Limited,London. FBG-Trident has 82 employees and annual sales of Euro6.4 million. The company manufactures tubular glass products.

Gerresheimer is parting ways with FBG-Trident in the courseof its portfolio rationalisation. The change of owner isbeneficial for all parties, says Dr. Axel Herberg, Chairman ofthe Executive Board of Gerresheimer Glas. With the further focusof the Gerresheimer Group on the core segments of pharmaceuticalsand cosmetics, FBG-Trident no longer fits the Group's businessstrategy. For Murray Holdings on the other hand, synergy withthe existing business is created.
