Investigations Against Fraport Managers Dropped

FRANKFURT, 22.03.2004 (ots/PROTEXT) - The Frankfurt districtattorney's office has dropped its preliminary investigationsagainst Fraport executive board members Dr. Wilhelm Bender andProf. Manfred Schölch, as well as other senior managers ofFraport AG, in connection with a project in Tashkent. Fraport AGhas always rejected the accusations as unjustified.
According to the information available to Fraport AG, theinvestigations were based on allegations by a former Fraportemployee who had been dismissed without notice. All statements ofthis employee proved to be contradictory and false.
The executive board welcomes the order of dismissal issued bythe district attorney's office because it has cleared theaffected Fraport managers of any suspicion. The districtattorney's investigation had resulted in considerable publicityin Germany and abroad and had caused discussions in the capitalmarket.
