Malaysia Airlines Signs New FRA/Cargo Handling Contract with Fraport AG

Frankfurt 10.02.2002 (PROTEXT/ots) - Malaysia Airlines andFraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide have signed a newagreement to extend the cargo handling services for the Asiancarrier at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) - Europe's largest airfreighthub. Inked in Frankfurt last week, the contract goes into effectretroactive to March 1, 2002, and runs until 2004. "We arepleased that we can further extend the successful cooperationwith Fraport's Cargo Service team," said Thomas Bürkle, MalaysiaAirlines Cargo Manager for Germany. Since 1999, the Asian carrierhas been a customer of the Cargo Service department of Fraport'sAviation Ground Services and Logistics (BVD) division.

The signing ceremony took place in Frankfurt and was attendedby Fraport's Ulf Steinmann, Head of Cargo Service; Hans-GeorgEmmert, Head of Sales and Marketing Cargo Service; and AnneSmirr, Key Account Management Cargo Service. RepresentingMalaysia Airlines were J.J. Ong, Senior General Manager Cargo;Christopher Yek, Area Manager Germany, Russia and Poland; andThomas Bürkle, Cargo Manager Germany. Following the contractsigning, Malaysia Airlines inaugurated its new cargo offices atFRA's CargoCity South.
