Male sexual well-being the goal as patient ambassadors join Pfizer for launch of new global campaign

Vienna (OTS/PROTEXT) 24.3.2004 - DECLARING V for Victory - Anunprecedented international gathering of patient ambassadors joinforces at the launch of a new global campaign in Vienna today,(Wednesday 24 March) which aims to empower millions of menworldwide to take control of their sexual well-being.

The 12 men from 12 countries across the globe joinedexecutives from Pfizer Inc to launch the VICTORY campaign, whichhopes to significantly increase the numbers of men with erectiledysfunction (ED) to seek the benefits of successful treatment.

The patient ambassadors, who each overcame the stigma of ED,believe speaking out publicly will raise awareness of thecondition and give courage to the nine out of ten men globallywith ED patients who currently receive no treatment.

Jay Olson, Pfizer Global Director, told an internationalpress conference: 'Men will only achieve VICTORY when they feelfree to talk with confidence about ED with wives, partners andhealthcare professionals.

'Never before have so many men from all corners of the worldjoined forces to talk so personally about their experiences forED. I commend each and every one of them for their commitment tothe launch of this campaign and everyone at Pfizer looks forwardto working with them as we roll-out the VICTORY campaign acrossthe world.'

The European Association of Urology (EAU) conference opens inVienna today, Wednesday 24 March.
