Cologne (ots/PROTEXT) - 23. and 24. June: The media worldopens its gates at the Tanzbrunnengelände of KölnMesse: MedienLIVE 2001, the biggest media event in Germany, invites you totravel through the interesting world of well-known film- and TVproductions as well as the digital Radio and Internet world. The visitors will be presented with a versatile programme:autographs, games, special activities, concerts, shows, productnovelties and a world of information. Before the medienforum NRWstarts, interested visitors can get to know the great media worldand have a glimpse behind the scenes. Medien LIVE - the nameitself stands for the programme: media activities in which youcan actively participate, stars you can talk to, informationabout media professions and fun, fun, fun! With more than 300.000 visitors, Medien LIVE turned into thebiggest public media event in Germany. Contrary to the yearsbefore, the multitude of media organisations does not presentMedien LIVE any more in the city and the historic part ofCologne. The organisations moved the event to theTanzbrunnengelände of KölnMesse. The organisers of Medien LIVE, the Staatskanzlei of thefederal state of Northrhine Westphalia (NRW) and theLandesanstalt für Rundfunk NRW, made a programme their prioritythat was created for the families, above all. TV companies, e.g.Super RTL and the Disney Channel, provide the proper care for thechildren and special activities for the youngest visitors in the'Kinderland'. The big Saturday night VIVA concert with hot musicfrom bands like "Right Said Fred" and "Loona" will attract ayoung audience. Another attraction is the traditional event'Medienberufe/Hochschultreff von Generation M': 70 organisationsprovide information about the job possibilities, ways to getthere and further education offers of the media andcommunications industry.
