Michael Jackson Signs High Tech Merchandising Deal with European Partners

Frankfurt, Germany (PROTEXT) - "King of Pop" Michael Jackson'sMJ Net Entertainment AG has finalised a major internationalmerchandising agreement with TePax GmbH (Kronberg im Taunus,Germany) and Peerless A/S (Karlslunde, Denmark). The 50 million euro contract, signed February 14th, grantsTePax and Peerless exclusive rights for a three-year period onbehalf of Michael Jackson new technology and home entertainmentmerchandising products. Peerless and TePax promise a unique line of state of the artthree-piece satellite/subwoofer loudspeaker systems. The range ofinnovative products is expected to retail for 60 - 499 euro.TePax and Peerless will develop and manufacture the products,while TePax will establish a dynamic distribution system to fullyexploit 24-hour-global commerce. Products will be distributed and sold through MichaelJackson's exclusive channels such as his Internet portal andchain of retail outlets as well as through traditional channelsvia TePax. "The linking of the expertise of two major technology-drivencompanies in a powerful long-term collaboration with the globalrecognition of Michael Jackson will be a model for businessstrategies in the new millennium," stated chief executives ofTePax and Peerless following the official announcement. Products will employ cutting edge technologies in highperformance loudspeakers made to look like a photograph ofMichael Jackson.
