NegaFix(R) from LaserSoft Imaging renders perfect Negative Film Optimization in SilverFast Ai 5.5

Kiel, Germany (PROTEXT/ots) - The new release of SilverFast Ai5.5 has the most powerful negative film optimization yet.NegaFix(R), the new negative real-time film optimisation inSilverFast Ai 5.5, can handle many types of negative film, grayscale and color. More than 120 film presets and a very powerful16 bit orange mask auto-adjust will make negative film scans aseasier than ever.

"Maximum dynamic range and perfect image quality from thenegative film, as well as ease of use was the objective and hasbeen achieved with this new development" says Karl-HeinzZahorsky, president and founder of LaserSoft Imaging.

SilverFast SE 5.5, the entry level SilverFast will have theability to select Vendor, Film group and Film Speed. A real-timeexposure slider will enable adjustment of film exposure within arange of -3 and +3 f-stops. SilverFast Ai 5.5, the full versionof SilverFast, will also have a NegaFix Advanced Mode allowingcreation of custom film type presets. The advanced mode is uniquein scan software development as it allows adjustment of anynegative film with reference to any aspect of the film'scharacteristics to get optimum results.

An "Import" function will allow customers to import newnegative film presets that LaserSoft Imaging will post on theirweb site for download.
