No bigger than a candy bar and with a weightof just 35 grams, the AP-ISDN simply plugs into the ISDN line.With no further set-up, it provides wireless access to the fullconvenience of ISDN for up to seven PCs or other Bluetoothdevices. And that with a range of up to 100 meters. BlueFRITZ!AP-ISDN is available for EUR124.14 plus local VAT. TheBlueFRITZ! ISDN Set, which includes the AP-ISDN together with oneBlueFRITZ! USB client, costs EUR162.93 plus local VAT.
BlueFRITZ! AP-ISDN: Plug In and Surf On!
The compact access point BlueFRITZ! AP-ISDN is an ideal startin wireless communication. The wireless option is also an easyway to add a notebook or a second PC to an existing ISDNinstallation at home or at the office. The translucent blueaccess point is simply plugged into the ISDN NT or an S0extension line. It is powered by the ISDN line itself, and needsno separate power supply.
Secure Connections Through Encryption and Frequency Hopping
BlueFRITZ! AP-ISDN transports voice and data over astandardized, secure radio link between the ISDN line and theBluetooth clients. Maximum security against eavesdropping isensured by 128-bit encryption, activated by default, and by upto 1600 frequency changes per second among 79 channels. Thewireless link has a range of up to 100 meters. The ISDN accesspoint's pre-set Bluetooth passkey can be changed by the user atany time, and ensures that only authorized Bluetooth devices canconnect to the access point. Furthermore, access can be limitedto the clients entered in a configurable list.
