Nippon Express Inaugurates European Airfreight Terminal at Frankfurt Airport / CargoCity South Has Become Global Success Story: Location, Location, Location

Frankfurt/Main, Germany (ots/PROTEXT) 22. 9. 2004 - NipponExpress (Deutschland) GmbH will inaugurate its new EUR 8.5million European logistics and airfreight terminal tomorrow atFrankfurt Airport's CargoCity South development area. One of theworld's largest logistics service providers, Nippon Express ofJapan, will use the 14,500 square-meter site as the new base forits European and Frankfurt branch operations - employing atotal of more than 100 people. Featuring about 6,000 squaremeters of storage and handling space and 2,200 square meters ofoffice space (over two levels), the facility is strategicallylocated on-airport and in the heart of the European market.Handling approximately 1.7 million metric tons of airfreight andairmail in 2003, FRA is Europe's leading air cargo gateway andranks number eight worldwide (ACI figures).
