Grossbottwar/Stuttgart (ots/PROTEXT) 14.11.2002 - Since June2002, olymp-store.de, the online shop for high-quality Olympbusiness shirts, has been donating EUR 1.00 per shirt purchaseto eight charity organizations.

The organizations supported by olymp-store.de includeChildren in Need, BUND, Aids Help, Trottwar and four others.

'The idea is to permanently support those in need through thesale of an Olymp shirt. We've been putting this idea intopractice since olymp-store.de was launched', said board memberKarl-Heinz Schnuerch as he explained the innovative businessidea.

After buying an Olymp shirt, customers can decide fromvarious sources of reference which organization they wish tosupport with a donation.

After they have decided, olymp-store.de sends the chosenorganization an automatic e-mail indicating the donation amount, which is then recorded. The amount is calculated from the numberof shirts purchased.

At the end of each month, the total sum is worked out on thebasis of the donation recommendations received and thecontributions are sent to the organizations concerned.

Of course, customers don't pay for this donation out of theirown pockets. The money is generated from the profit margin ofolymp-store.de. Shirts bought from olymp-store.de are not moreexpensive than those sold in local shops, as all 3,000 stockistsare obliged to observe the prices set by Olymp.

The advantage for customers who buy online is that all 120shirts in the current OLYMP Autumn/Winter collection arefeatured in an exclusive Olymp shirt shop. The items areavailable in all sizes, colours and collar styles.

Special sizes are also supplied individually, which isnormally not the case in shops, as stockists do not sell allspecial sizes.

In addition, a specially designed presentation enablescustomers in the online shop to view the shirts from variousangles.

Even the smallest fabric structures are visible. This is animportant option in an online shop, since customers cannot touchthe garments.

Express delivery dispatches the shirts Europe-wide within 24to 48 hours. There are no postage and packaging costs or c.o.d.charges for customers who live in Germany. In addition, TrustedShops certification provides a money-back guarantee andcustomers have the right to return garments within 14 days ifthey are not satisfied.

All relevant security provisions, such as data protection andSSL, are guaranteed.
