Press release regarding Project Austerlitz 2005 presentation in Paris

PARIS August 20 (PROTEXT) - The representatives of ProjectAusterlitz visited Paris from 16 September to 17 September 2002.The project leaders met, among others, professor Xaver Galmich,who is the leading professor of the Department of Czech Studiesat Sorbonne University in Paris. During the meeting they spokeabout possibilities of future cooperation, mainly in scientificarea, which opens to French scientists and specialists access toProject Austerlitz. The most important point of the stay was theproject presentation itself. This presentation took place on 17September 2002 in Czech Cultural Centre, which is located in ahistorical house in Bonaparte street. The name of the bigCorsican leader seemed to predetermine the success of the wholeevent. The audience in the hall, which was completely full,became silent and started to pay attention when uniformed peoplestarted the presentation in the sound of army drums. Theorganizers then presented the whole project idea during aspectacular audio-visual presentation. The participants were veryinterested in the efforts of organizers to make the Slavkov(Czech Republic) area more lively and to search possibilities howto make the future international cooperation deeper and closer.The audience, whose members were a lot of personalities, fromprofessional historians and journalists to the representatives oftravel agencies, then lively discussed about the Slavkov battlesite for nearly one hour. Then followed the exhibition of thephotographs of Jan Sroubek. Company Vino Marcincak organizedMoravian wine tasting. The project representatives gathered a lotof new contacts and offers for cooperation. To sum up the stay inParis was very successful.
