Karlsruhe, Germany (PROTEXT/ots) - During 2001, EnBW EnergieBaden-Württemberg AG improved its Earnings Before Interest,Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) by more than 50%from 675 to around 1.020 million euro. 'Our excellent rating isreflected in our annual accounts', commented EnBW's ExecutiveChairman Gerhard Goll on the key data from the provisionalconsolidated accounts for 2001, which were published inKarlsruhe on Wednesday. The positive profit trend confirmedEnBW's expectations. The EnBW Group's annual earnings increased in accordance withthe provisional figures by around 50% from 179 to around 270million euro. Turnover rose during the previous year by around34% from 5.8 to 7.8 billion euro.
