Darmstadt, Germany (PROTEXT/ots) - R-Biopharm GmbH (Darmstadt,Germany) signed an agreement to acquire the majority of shares inRhone-Diagnostics Technologies Limited (Glasgow, UK), a companyspecializing in agri-diagnostics by immuno affinity columns andone of the world market leaders in this field. R-Biopharm GmbHand RDT have a very complementary product portfolio and nowrepresent the biggest supplier of test kits for food and feedanalysis in Europe.
The acquisition is part of an initiative at R-Biopharm GmbHto be a global leader in providing food and feed testing systemswith operating companies in Germany, France, United Kingdom, andUnited States, with 60 plus distributors throughout the world.
The combination of R-Biopharms immunoassay expertise andmarket presence coupled with the highly adaptable and enablingtechnology of Rhône-Diagnostics Technologies will create a uniquecompetitive advantage in the agri-diagnostic market.
The operational business of R-Biopharm Ltd. (Wheatley,England) will be integrated into RDT.
