Reorientation at Tenovis in France

FRANKFURT AM MAIN, 11 April 2002. Tenovis, which employs 6,800people in Europe and 731 in France, is specialized in providingcommunication solutions to business customers. In order to bet-ter compete in a fast changing market, Tenovis is contemplatingto concentrate its resources on its core business, research & de-velopment, services and sales. Tenovis has announced a projectto eventually outsource the activities of its Montceau-les-Minesproduction site ((Saône-et-Loire) to the French company Eolane. Eolane already possesses 3 industrial sites in France and isspeci- alized in development and manufacturing of electronicproducts for diversified sectors. Eolane would continue toproduce on the Montceau-les-Mines site the terminals and smalland medium- sized communication equipment for the needs ofTenovis world- wide. Eolane would leverage the potential of thesite through di- versification on clients and products,especially towards high ad- ded value products.

All the 230 employees of the Montceau-les-Mines site would betransferred to Eolane.

Tenovis Tenovis offers intelligent and efficient businesscommunication solutions focusing on the convergence oftelecommunications and the Internet. Tenovis has some 6 800employees taking care of the needs of its 200 000 customers in82 client centers through- out Europe. In the year 2001 Tenovisgenerated revenue of ap- proximately one billion euros.
