BERLIN March 4 (PROTEXT/PRNewswire)-Sony Europe hasintroduced a range of new products that make the networking ofAudio, Video and Information Technology a reality for everyone.At this year's Sony European Press Forum in Berlin, attended by250 journalists, Sony Europe has unveiled products andtechnologies that enable personal networking to consumers. Plansto strengthen Sony's direct relationship with its customers andto further develop the synergy between electronics and contentwere also announced.
"We are creating a digital environment where the user hascontrol," said Sony Europe President, Mike Tsurumi. "Bydesigning products that are network-ready, easy to operate andfun to use, we are making personal communication networkingaccessible and enjoyable for everyone."
The new Sony products for on- and off-line personal networksinclude a complete line-up of DVD recording solutions that arecompatible with multiple DVD-Video recording formats, a new 1GBMemory Stick that vastly increases storage capacity and datatransfer rates for enabled products, plus important developmentsin the four central connectivity platforms, namely WEGAtelevisions, PlayStation, mobile devices and VAIO PCs."Our strategy of connectivity fits well with the change ininfrastructure in Europe from narrowband to broadband, includingthe wireless hotspots which are already gaining popularity," hecontinued.
