Standard & Poor's Announces Changes in S&P United Kingdom 150 Index

New York (PROTEXT) - Standard & Poor's will make the followingchanges in the S&P United Kingdom Index at the close of businesson Monday, November 29, 1999. * Marconi plc will replace General Electric Company plc.General Electric is changing its name to Marconi following thesale of its international aerospace and defense business, MarconiElectronic Systems, to British Aerospace. By divesting Marconi Electronic Systems, Marconi plc'sbusiness will now be concentrated on the communications and hightechnology systems markets. It's investable weight factor will be1.0. The company will be part of the Information TechnologySector. The S&P United Kingdom Index contains 150 constituentsdomiciled in the United Kingdom. The Index provides economicdiversity over 10 industry sectors. The index is calculated real-time by Reuters.
