Stern magazine advances publishing to Monday

Hamburg 18.08.2002 (PROTEXT) - The German magazine sternadvances the publishing of its next issue (No. 35/02) to Monday(19.8.2002). The cover story and the main reporting will be thedevastating floods in the Czech Republik, Russia, Romania,Austria and the German states Saxonia and Bavaria. These floods,the worst since more than 100 years, have killed about 100people, destroyed houses and cities throughout this region andforced tens of thousands to evacuate their homes.

At the same time stern is trying to help the people in thedevastated areas: From every stern sold at the newsstand (sellingprice: 2.50 euro) stern donates one euro to the flood victims.
