Swiss Adtcom takes over Europe-wide distribution of IGEL products

Great Dunmow, Essex (ots/PROTEXT) - Adtcom Network ComputingAG and C. Melchers GmbH & Co. NETwork COMponents have enteredinto partnership for the Europe-wide distribution of IGELThinClient products. With representatives in ten European countries, Adtcom is oneof Europe's leading distributors of ThinClient and server-basedcomputing. The IGEL products, based on embedded Linux andMicrosoft Windows CE 3.0, are to be distributed via resellers andsystem houses for the first time throughout Europe. With a 20 percent share of the European ThinClient market atpresent, Adtcom believes this important move will bring about afurther increase in market share. Adtcom also providescomprehensive support for its system integrators and resellersthrough training, sales support and marketing as well asfinancing for pilot projects. Flexibility thanks to Linux and Windows CE Because IGEL products are Linux-based, the hardware andsoftware can be adapted to individual customer requirements. Forstandard applications the company also offers IGEL-CE, the firstThinClient with Windows CE Version 3.0 and ICA6 protocol.
