This year at Slavkov - Austerlitz the French are victorious again

BRNO November 24 (PROTEXT) - In the same way as in 1805Napoleon Bonaparte won the battle of Slavkov - Austerlitz,companies owned by the French are victorious in 2003. The mostimportant Austerlitz 2005 project partners are SITA MORAVIA,joint-stock company and Komercni banka, joint-stock company,which have provided the highest financial contribution to theproject. Those 2 companies, owned by the French, together withthe company Ceskomoravsky cement, joint - stock company, which isa part of German Heidelbergzement Group, cover 50% of total costsof this year's Celebration of 198th anniversary of Slavkov-Austerlitz battle. The above listed companies have decided tosupport this celebration until 2005, at least. In 2005 there willbe a Celebration of 200th anniversary of this battle.

This most important re-enacment event in Europe takes placefrom 26 November to 30 November 2003 in Vyskov near Brno,Rousinov, Slavkov near Brno, Tvarozna and at Mohyla Miru nearPrace. This event is a part of Austerlitz 2005 project, which isorganized under the patronage of Mohyla Miru - Austerlitz publicorganization joining 18 municipalities and towns of SlavkovAusterlitz battle field.

This year Regional Authority of Jizni Morava makes the firstcontribution to this event. Regional Council members awardedAusterlitz 2005 project half a million Czech crowns. We wouldlike to take this opportunity to thank all council members whovoted for the contribution. The most positive role in thissupport has probably been played by council member Mr. Venclik,M.D. and regional vice-president, Mr. Smid, M.D. who have beenmost interested in this project.
