WISeKey to Establish its Digital Identification Backbone for DestiNY USA WISeKey to Create 500 New Jobs in Upstate New York to Make DestiNY USA the Most Secured

NEW YORK/GENEVA (USA/Switzerland) 4th March (PROTEXT/ots) -WISeKey was selected by DestiNY USA to implement its DigitalIdentification Backbone. In turn, WISeKey will open its firstoffice in the U.S. and bring 500 new jobs to Upstate New Yorkover the next two years.

Digital Identification will allow visitors, residents,employees and participating organizations such as hotels andtravel agencies to share information in a secure and private way.

The vision of DestiNY USA is to bring together today'sleading companies and scientists to accelerate research andtechnology in critical areas ranging from renewable energy andhomeland security to green building and design and environmentaleducation. It will take place in a fossil-fuel-free, resortenvironment that includes the finest hotels and restaurants, anenclosed indoor park, and some of the most extraordinaryentertainment and shopping venues found anywhere in the world.

The DestiNY USA Research and Development Park will housefirms involved in the design and manufacture of technologies thatwill be put to use at DestiNY USA. The Park will focus onrenewable energy, technology and security products. Constructionwill begin in 2005 and WISeKey will be located in the one-millionsquare foot signature building upon completion.

The Digital Identification Backbone will be based on WISeKey-Microsoft Trusted Platform using WISeKey's unique Trusted Digitalidentity technology operating on a Microsoft Platform. TheDestiNY USA Digital ID Backbone will also detect and authenticate"objects" using wireless cards designed specifically for use inelectronic devices and infrastructure, providing totaltraceability while in and out of the resort.

Further, WISeKey is excited to announce its commitment toopen its global R&D headquarters in Upstate New York, which willcreate 500 high-skilled, new jobs over the next 18 months. In theInterim, WISeKey will become a member of the Syracuse ChamberTechnology Garden.

WISeKey is a proven leader in strong Digital identitytechnology and leads the growing market of national ID cards,Internet Voting and e-passports, which has allowed governments toprovide services to citizens more efficiently on-line. These IDcards provide the capability authenticate users absolutely.
